Setting out to create a unique life scenery for the owners, Ghih Hsiang Cheng has infused the Lightclassical house with proper grace and attention to detail. The use of color, with white as the base and saturated colors to brighten the atmosphere, adds a touch of vibrancy to the space. The moving line design keeps the contour of each area neat and square, while the carefully planned daily vision design allows the three generations of the family to see each other when they open their bedroom doors.
To maintain a simple and elegant atmosphere without being boring, Ghih Hsiang Cheng has employed various materials such as decorative colors, mirrors, and wallpapers to create a sense of unity and rich levels in the space. The ceiling design, with its multi-level shadow layout, elegantly incorporates indirect illumination, providing a subtle and sophisticated lighting solution.
The Lightclassical house is a 300-square-meter residential property with four rooms, two halls, and three toilets. It is located in a building overlooking the river view in Xindian District of New Taipei City.
One of the key challenges in the design process was meeting the owner's clear requirements, which included a preference for neoclassical style and indirect lighting on the ceiling. To avoid obtrusive light grooves, Ghih Hsiang Cheng dedicated significant effort to the ceiling design, creating a multi-level and shadow layout that seamlessly incorporates the light grooves.
The Lightclassical house has been recognized for its exceptional design and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
The Lightclassical residential house is a testament to Ghih Hsiang Cheng's talent and creativity in combining neoclassical elements with modern design principles. It offers a clean, elegant, and not rigid spatial expression that creates a unique and inviting living environment for the homeowners.
